The White Sox have made it official. Omar Vizquel is coming to the Windy City. It's a 1yr/$1.3M deal. In other signings, the Brewers have re-signed injury-prone Chris Caupano. The lefty was limited to nine minor league innings this season having Tommy John surgery and now rehabbing. In an effort to make them look better for having done this, they signed SP John Halama. Funny thing is, Halama has pitched in the minors all last season and hasn't had a ML outing since 2006. What are the Brewers thinking by this re-vamping their pitching staff? Take your chances and sign Ben Sheets back at this rate.

Teams have been calling about Rangers OF Nelson Cruz (.260; 33 HRs; 76RBIs and 20SBs). If the Rangers even had an inkling of trading him, I think every Rangers fan should boycott the team.
The Mets are looking into Russell Branyan playing 1B for 2010. Branyan is looking for 3-5 million. The Giants are thinking C Yorvit Torrealba to replace Bengie Molina. The Rockies aren't going to roll over and let him walk. They want him back, or else look at Brian Schneider.
